Saturday April 1, 2023: Saturday Night Speaker Meeting & Gam-Anon Bake Sale!
Mark your calendar for Saturday April 1, 2023 at 7:30pm and make your way to the Saturday Night Speaker Meeting at St. Alban’s! This excellent event is held the first Saturday of each month. It’s an “open” meeting, so please invite family, friends, and others interested in learning about GA. The beloved Gam-Anon craft and bake sale is back! It'll be on Saturday, April 1, prior to the speaker meeting. The sale begins at 6:00 pm; the speaker meeting will follow at 7:30 pm. The location is St. Alban's Episcopal Church; 6716 Gleason Road; Edina, MN.
GA and Gam-Anon speakers are wanted! Our stories of recovery are powerful, and essential. Stories show newcomers that a beautiful new way of life is possible. And, because the monthly speaker meeting is an “open” meeting, stories of recovery are an effective way to show family, friends, and community leaders how our lives have changed by working the Steps and practicing the principles of the Gamblers Anonymous program. Want help in shaping your story, or would you like more details? Send an email to email@example.com.

Have You Had Your Pressure Relief Group Meeting Today?
Page 17 of our yellow combo book states that a Pressure Relief Group Meeting can offer guidance toward a normal way of thinking and living. Have you gone through the process? If not, our excellent Pressure Relief team is here to help!
The Pressure Relief program is available to all GA members, and is particularly useful for:
● New members with a desire to stop gambling ● Members working on a 4th Step financial inventory ● Members interested in re-establishing financial priorities at any time throughout recovery
This is an excellent Step 12 service opportunity! Sign up for time blocks to answer the Minnesota GA hotline. Calls are forwarded right to your phone, so you can perform this service work right in your own home. You can pick the time slots that you’re available to receive calls. Be the welcoming voice on the other end of the phone … send an email to email@example.com and express your interest in this opportunity.
Wanted: Your Experience, Strength, & Hope!
Sharing stories of our addiction and recovery are vital for those in all stages of recovery - newcomers and old-timers alike. GA members are encouraged to speak of their personal recovery journeys, and share their experience, strength, and hope.
Choose from these excellent opportunities:
Volunteer to speak the first Saturday of each month at the St. Alban’s speaker meeting.
Volunteers are needed to speak at treatment centers. Currently we are speaking via Zoom, so no travel is required. If you have at least one year of clean time, you can volunteer! And, if you have less than one year, you can still speak if you bring your sponsor, or another GA member with one year of clean time, with you.
Would you like to find out more? Send an email to the Public Relations committee through the website address: firstname.lastname@example.org. And, click here for a flyer to distribute in your home group. The Public Relations committee will be delighted to provide more details and support you in your story-sharing efforts.
Get Involved and Be Of Service!
Gamblers Anonymous exists because thousands of recovering gamblers have given countless hours of service. Setting up rooms, leading meetings, and cleaning up after, are usually the first service roles that we perform. But as we grow in recovery, more service opportunities present themselves. Each is a way to strengthen our GA community, and a way to practice Step 12. Click here for a flyer with descriptions of several exciting and fulfilling service opportunities available.
