Saturday June 7, 2025: Intergroup Meeting (by Zoom) at 3:00 pm
Intergroup is a monthly meeting where GA group representatives share information with each other, as well as discuss upcoming events and needs in the Minnesota GA fellowship. Any GA member is welcome to attend, and every GA group in Area 8A can send a representative to vote on the issues. If your GA home group does not currently have an Intergroup representative, please contact [email protected] to find out how your group can participate.

Saturday June 7, 2025: Saturday Night Speaker Meeting @ St. Alban's (Edina)
Mark your calendar for Saturday June 7, 2025 and make your way to the Saturday Night Speaker Meeting at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Edina. We'll begin with key readings from GA and Gam-Anon literature, and then GA members will share their stories of experience, strength, and hope. This speaker meeting is an “open” meeting; please invite family, friends, and anyone interested in learning about GA.
The location is St. Alban's Episcopal Church; 6716 Gleason Road; Edina, MN. Doors open at 6:30 pm for fellowship and snacks, and the speaker meeting follows at 7:30 pm.

Sunday August 17, 2025: Summertime Fun Picnic-In-The-Park!
Mark your calendar and spread the word that the best summertime get-together is back! The Friday Night Shoreview GA group is hosting its ever-popular picnic in the park. This social event is open to all GA members, Gam-Anon members, friends, and family.
The event will be on Sunday August 17 from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. The location is Island Lake Park, 3611 Victoria Street North, Shoreview, MN 55126. More details are coming, so keep your eye on this space!

The Saturday Night Speaker Meeting at St. Alban's in Edina is an important and cherished part of our Area 8A GA Fellowship.
Geno T., Diane A., and Tom S. are leading efforts to strengthen connections between this speaker meeting and individual GA groups in our Area. Groups are being asked to sponsor a monthly speaker meeting. Sponsoring includes:
**Provide a speaker for a 30-40 minute share, or two speakers for shorter times. Speakers should have a minimum of
1 year of abstinence.
**Provide someone to read the Daily Reflection and talk about the reflection for 5 minutes
**Choose readers for GA & Gam-Anon literature
**Arrive early to help set up the room and make coffee
**Bring treats
**Help clean up after the meeting
This is an excellent way to be of service and carry the message of recovery! Please talk to members of your home group about sponsoring a speaker meeting. Click here for a flyer and spread the word about this exciting opportunity!

Blue Books & More Available At The Saturday Night Speaker Meeting

Have you heard the good news? The new Blue Book, Sharing Recovery Through Gamblers Anonymous, can be purchased at the monthly Saturday Night Speaker Meeting!
The previous version was published in 1984. A committee of GA members worked for more than 7 years to rewrite the book, drawing from their own recovery experience as members of Gamblers Anonymous. GA groups around the world are using this book in their weekly meetings. Sponsors and sponsees are reading the book and working the Steps together. Pick up yours (along with medallions, key fobs, and other literature) at the monthly speaker meeting at St. Alban's in Edina - only $7.50 each. |

The International Service Office (ISO) of Gamblers Anonymous performs many essential functions to support our fellowship. ISO sends out starter kits to new GA groups around the world, as well as prison kits to those that are incarcerated and seeking recovery. Volunteer for the Minnesota GA Hotline
This is an excellent Step 12 service opportunity! Sign up for time blocks to answer the Minnesota GA hotline. Calls are forwarded right to your phone, so you can perform this service work right in your own home. You can pick the time slots that you’re available to receive calls.
